The aggregator acts as an intermediary between energy users and generators and the National Grid Operator in the capacity, energy and flexibility markets. It can also provide balancing services to the latter. It is an entity engaged in aggregation. Aggregation is the activity of combining the volume of capacity or electricity offered by consumers, electricity generators or electricity storage holders, taking into account the technical capacity of the network to which they are connected, for the purpose of selling electricity, providing system services or flexibility services on the electricity markets. Aggregation shall take place on the basis of an aggregation contract concluded between the electricity end-user, electricity generator or electricity storage holder and the aggregator.
